So I did it!

Yes, yesterday evening I was feeling so pumped at work and getting all ready and geared up for a run in the evening. Of cuz I was so worried that I might just back down on it. While I was at work, I was preparing my playlist and even tried to find the Nike + iPod on my phone. I used it on my iPod Touch before but I wasn't sure on the iPhone so I thought I'd prepare them in advance so I won't have any excuses. So yes, you can say that I was pretty much well prepared.

The moment I got home, I kept telling myself that no matter what you are going to feed Tinki and change and walk straight out of the door and that's what I did. Well let's just say that I managed to step out to do what my mind was set to but was my body ready? I did run a while and then I had to stop. I have been really under estimating the outdoor running and oh boy have I got a lot to catch up on.

As soon as I get home, I was looking forward to make something really refreshing and I thought of my Dragon fruit! So I made dragon fruit and fig juice!

It was just what I needed after the run/walk of 40 mins :)

My Stats

Run/Walk : 35 mins
Distance : 4km
Calories : 239
Sweat level : Pretty good for a second day

I need to calibrate my distance. So I can get an accurate distance next time.

Grills for dinner

It was a strange day yesterday. Afterall, the meeting in the evening got cancelled and I came home around noon. Did a few things around the house and thought I'd send in some more applications. In the evening, I decided that it's about time for me to do the grocery shopping! I got EVERYTHING. All kinds of fruits:-

Apples
Oranges
Pineapple
Banana
Rasberry
Blueberry.

All kinds of meat and vegetables. Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE grocery shopping?? Yes, I do. We timed it so that by the time when I was done shopping hubby left the office and we came home together :) He carried the bags up. I did the major tiring shopping you know, someone has to do the lifting :)

I got Salmon for us as it's been so long we had salmon for dinner. so here it is.

I don't normally like to have much gravy or sauce to go with my grilled meals except chilli sauce :) So it can look dry but trust me, the salmon was just way too juicy to be dry.

Here's my red ruby I had in the afternoon yesterday and yes, finally a decent photo of it. :) Thanks to my little canon.

How can I not, share this view with you all. Isn't this amazing? Lovely dust.

News last night

My Mom called me last night late and told me to call back because she wanted to explain to me about my Dad's test results for the operation. When I called back, Mom said that Dad is having high blood sugar and there are concerns about the operation as to the wound may not heal properly etc. Dad was pretty upset and depressed when I called him. I did give some cheer up notes but I know that only thing I can do from here is to pray and that God will take care of him. Deep down in side me, I know things will be Ok but still prayers are needed.

I thought I wasn't going to be able to sleep well last night as I was having some thoughts but to my surprise, I slept quite well. This morning was oranges, apples (both green and fuji) and star fruit juice. I don't know how good it is for us to be having fruit juice every morning but I do feel much better and great for the rest of the day. Also, it is quite refreshing.

Last night, we had the left overs. I had the chicken and dahl with rice and hubby had the fried rice. I am getting quite happy with the grocery shopping we did and the home cooks for the dinner. It's just so pleasurable and relax to be home after a crappy day at work and make something yummy.

I still have not manage to think of what I would like to make with my processor. Probably I will sit and think tomorrow night. First, I thought this weekend to ourselves but seems it is going to be another mad weekend.

How many rejections can one take?

I must say that I have been feeling quite down recently because of my work some other dramas. Oh well, such is life I guess.

So let's just say that my happiest place right now is at home. This morning hubby made us beet root, orange, apples and carrots juice and it was delicious!!!!!I haven't had a chance to use my new toy in the kitchen yet. Probably I will try making something with it this weekend.

I made beef chilli fried rice and bottle gourd fritters (bu thee kyaw) last night. I am going to try and make almond milk tomorrow and will let you know how it turn out.

Spinach, Carrots and Tomatoes

Not a great combination, I'm telling ya. Well that's the juice mix I had this morning. It was my mistake of telling hubby yesterday that we should have this mix today without telling him how. I was hoping more of like a milk shake and hide the taste of spinach in a blender. However, hubby did it in the juicer!!! ok, don't yuck now but he finished up his big glass of share and I could only do it till about half. I couldn't take it. :( So that was our breakfast.

Last night, we took our little girl to Jit and Kanu's place. She was so good the whole taxi ride. I think she's getting used to having to move around a little. Not like before that she growls and moan. We got to their house and guess what! Hubby forgot her dry food. So it was just wet food for supper and for breakfast as well.

It was really weird to go home and no one to call out "Tinker Bell" :( We missed her sleeping with us last night but at least she's at a very nice place while we'll be away.

So like I said, it's a count down time. In less than 4 hours I will be out of this CRAP HOLE!!!!! I can't wait!!!!

India! here I come.

One day before a good holiday begins

So, I may be counting down a tad too early but hey that's how much I dislike coming in here. I am sure you know where is here. I need to do a lot of soul searching and plan my future and career. At the moment I feel like I'm stucked in this crap hole and I can't breath.

On to what happened last night. My dear hubby had to go and pick up putu's food after work and then our lens that we ordered on Sunday and not only that had to pick up food for us as well. I feel bad but I was just wanting to get home as soon as I could to feed the little one and just be home. Plus, my taxi didn't drive pass the food place. So when he got home he was totally drench in sweat but didn't complain.

Our dinner was Bee Hon Goreng and Nasi Goreng. He loves getting Nasi Goreng because he shares the Ikan Bilis (anchovies) with putu. We also watched "Repco Men" while dinner and it was not a good move. If you have ever seen it. I don't know if I should be saying I really like the movie or may be I should just say it's a good movie with a lot of gory scenes. Anyways, it was Jude Law!!!

After dinner, we started packing our stuff for the trip and did the laundry so that we don't have to come back home with nothing for the next day for work. Even though we are leaving only tomorrow evening we packed yesterday because we will be sending Putu to Jit's place tonight. So we will be spending a fair bit of time with them and make sure she is Ok with them.

Oh another news is that I am finally going to be able to get my Micheal Smith's book. The AFC studio was kind of taking too long. Wouldn't you agreed? If I order the book since late May and they said they still have not ordered yet? So I called and cancelled my order. Ben, my friend from Canada is getting me the book and will be posting it over for me! I'm so excited. Sorry, I know a cook book wouldn't mean anything to most of you but for me it means a lot! I feel cooking gives me calm and serenity. After that when I make something and the love ones enjoys it. It's out of the world feeling of satisfaction.

Anyhoo, I told hubby last night that I want to have fruit juice this morning instead of Tea to finish up the fruits in the house. So we had apples, oranges, 1 beet and 3 tomatoes juices this morning. It was just lovely and refreshing AND bowel cleansing ha ha if you know what I mean.

Ok, don't have a choice but now work time.....
